If your child requires medication at school, please view the "Frequently Asked Questions About Medication and Healthcare in the School" below. The only medications that an elementary student may carry with them are cough drops or throat lozenges. The parent must complete the form "Authorization to Carry Over-The -Counter Medication" and return form to clinic. This form and all others may be accessed on the forms page of this website.
An inhaler or Epipen may be carried by a student, but please make sure the "Authorization to Carry Prescription Medication" and "Authorization to Administer Medication" forms are completed and on file in the clinic. If medication is found in a student's bookbag, the medication will be brought to the clinic and the nurse will call you to discuss the need for medication.
